ABOUT US

The University of the Arts (UArts) is a university of visual and performing arts based in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania. Its campus makes up part of the Avenue of the Arts in Center City, Philadelphia. Dating back to the 1870s, it is one of the oldest schools of art or music in the United States.

The university is composed of two colleges and two Divisions: the College of Art, Media & Design, and the College of Performing Arts, as well as the Division of Liberal Arts and the Division of Continuing Studies.

 

It is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In addition, the College of Art, Media & Design is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, and the School of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

High school can be a confusing place, mostly in your junior and senior years. You must keep your grades up, prepare and take your ACTS and SATS, participate in extracurriculars, do volunteer hours, and make experiences, all while deciding what you want to do with your future. Throughout high school, Dr. Bradley has always been there to lend me advice. She was the reason that I stayed motivated when it got hard.  She would let all her students know about scholarships that she would find and would encourage us to apply for them. She also kept me informed about deadlines, helped me prepare my personal statement and scholarship essays, and wrote recommendation letters for me. I honestly do not know what I would do without her, even now, that I’m a second-year college student; she still keeps me in check.
